Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sue and I live on the North Kent coast. I have been diagnosed for 4 years but have only just discovered this site. It is great to have somewhere you can go where others understand what you are going through. Going through a bad flare at the moment but finding the site so helpful.

Hi Sue,
Welcome to the forum! You'll get lots of support and information on here, and we all know exactly what you are going through. I am 60 and have had RA for 9 years. I'm on Humira and mtx. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Hi Sue WELCOME to the forum but very sorry you have this illness I am Mary from Wales I have had RA for the past 14 years on RTX and MTX I am 49 years young I also have MS (I have always been a greedy person) you will have a lot of help support and fun on here looking forward to getting to know you better take care Mary L

I am Barbara, living in London, diagnosed only last July, still not controlled, but keep hoping!!! lots of support and advice here, everyone so kind and helpful, this site has been a life saver for me. Hi Sue, I was diagnosed nearly 4 years ago - trying to find the right mix of drugs at the moment. I work part time and have a partner and litte boy who's 8. I've found the forum a godsend and hope you do too.

Welcome to the forum you will great friends and info on this site. Lots of good advice.
I am Rose from Somerset and 56 yrs old - diagnosed in nov 2008 . Had trial on mtx 3 times without success and had to come off so trying our leflunomide but also stopped on this for 8 days, and waiting for my rhummy nurse to ring me back as severe headaches.

Im Liz, had RA since 1997, am married to Paul and we have 2 lovely girls Sophie 16 and Jess 13,
I only discovered the forum last year and what a lifeline it is to find others who really understand things,
Looking forward to "chatting" lots more xx

Hi Sue, im Sophie 35 have a son whose 5 , ive had RA for 15 years and also have Lupus , you will be happy you found this site as everyone understands and you can get some good advice about the disease,

Welcome! I have had RA for 30 years and am married to Mark and have five children with a little one on the way- due in November! So, I am currently on NO meds which is wonderful.......

Hi Sue,
I'm Anne 50 years old and diagnosed in May this year, have been taking mtx which fingers crossed have worked wonders so far. I'm married to Ernie and have two teenage sons 18 and 19 and a foster boy aged 8.
I found this site shortly after being diagnosed and it has helped me greatly, as I didn't know anyone else with RA.

I am Jenni, I have severe RA and a long time with no drugs seeming to work- now I am on the Cimzia and it seems to be working well!
I have a husband, and cat and 3 children- the children are 15, 12 and 2!
everyone here will support you and the knowledge base here is second to none.

Hi I'm Kathleen, 60 and yes I have it too! My children have flown the nest and don't live close, Lost my partner to cancer just before my RA, so being a member is really important to me. Often find the answer for my questions on here quicker than making a phone call. Members are so supportive !! Take care, Kathleen x

Hi Sue, welcome but sorry you have RA. Im Heather, 47 live In Hampshire with my husband Kev and two children Jack 19 and Katie almost 16. Was diagnosed with ra last September and taking mx and hydroxchloriquine. This site is brilliant and you will always find someone here to talk to, give advice or just listen. Hope you manage to get some relief from you flare soon.

Hi Sue, I am Lorna, I am married to Ken and have 3 lovely daughters. Sorry you have RA, I have had it for almost 3 years too. I was very ill in the beginning but have been on the triple therapy since day one and I keep really well now as long as I don't overdo things. The site is good and informative as well as supportive. Hope your flare does not last too long and you feel better soon. Thinking of you take care. Lorna xx
